The primary role of the Data technician will be to provide technical services including GIS data organization and management, geo-processing, mapping, and working with Drone imagery. Experience with GIS, image processing software and web based mapping platforms is an asset.
Utilizing geographic information system (GIS) software to generate cohesive mosaics
Managing and organizing large data sets
Communicating efficiently with members of other departments
Quality control checking processed GIS files for abnormalities
Tracking output statistics from project processing
